The director of 'Teen Patti', Leena Yadav, has been very particular when the issue has been the scripting of her
films.
Hence, so far, she has written all the scripts of her films. Amidst a somewhat difficult time during
the making of 'Teen Patti', she requested the assistance of Amitabh Bachchan and, fortunately, he came to the
rescue by giving his valuable inputs on the script.
How did she manage to get rescued by Amitabh Bachchan? Explains Leena Yadav, "Teen Patti's script could have
gone anywhere because of the tricky nature of the subject. On top of it, I wrote a lot of stuff, which left me in two
minds. I wasn't able to decide the course of the script."
She goes on to add, "As I was finalizing the cast of the film, I approached Amitji to enact the role of Prof. Venkat
Subramaniam. Luckily, he agreed, even though I was halfway through my script when I told him about this. Further,
I also asked Amitji for his inputs in order to streamline the script. "
"He felt nice that the director was asking his inputs. His suggestions provided new dimensions to the story and
were key to the development of the plot."
What were those crucial inputs? Leena mentions, "The inputs that I got from him were on the elements of greed
and deception around which 'Teen Patti' revolves. Besides that, I cannot divulge any more information."
